OUR MISSION:

Compassionately loving and serving families affected by incarceration through spiritual, physical, and personal support, that God would be glorified and people would know hope and freedom in Jesus Christ.

DESCRIPTION:

The Compassion Freedom Fund exists to help families affected by the incarceration of a loved one.  We strive to compassionately love and serve families of prison inmates by offering spiritual, physical, and personal support.  Our goal is that God would be glorified and those affected by the unique challenges of incarceration would experience the hope and freedom found in Jesus.

HISTORY:

It's been said, "Christ-like compassion means to suffer with. A willingness to enter someone's sorrow and pain and walk beside them in the valley of the shadow of death." Compelled by a desire to walk beside families drowning in an undercurrent of grief and be more Christ-like, Nicole M. began her work in prison ministry.  It was here that Nicole met the Park family.  Through Ms. Merchant's and the Park family's interaction, the Compassion Freedom Fund was established in 2013.  It is our desire to come along side families experiencing the unique challenges of having an incarcerated loved one and demonstrate Christ-like Compassion.

TESTIMONIAL:

"I want to thank you for your kind gift to my family.  Words on paper never seem like enough to adequately convey the sincere gratitude I feel!  Thank you so much for being Jesus to us and loving us!  Your ministry is such a blessing to us and I'm sure to other families you help.  The families of inmates in prison have such a hard time and to be helped and cared for by others means so much more than the money or things they are helped with.  It reaches deep into our hearts and tells us that we are not alone.  God's love is there with us through people and ministries like yours.  Just being able to visit and see our loved ones can be difficult let alone trying to survive without them so I want to thank you so much for making my life a little easier.  Thank you for helping my family to experience God's care and love.  I pray to be able to one day give back all that has been given to me. The Bible refers to us as slaves of Christ because we can never repay what He has done for us, but, I pray that He will allow me the joy of blessing back.  In the meantime I will give you what I can.  I will give you my prayers, for you, your family, and your ministry.  Thank you so much and I hope to meet you someday!"
